Job Description:

 

The Repair Operations Project Manager (ROPM) oversees all Operations efforts relating to contract execution and is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring repair projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets. The OPM acts as the point-of-contact between elements of Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management. They ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the test and evaluation, repair, and test sell off of complex electronic systems.

Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of job area. Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Coordinate with Area Schedulers and Production Planners to develop repair and maintenance plans
  • Perform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware builds
  • Assess cost and schedule risks and develop associated mitigations
  • Estimate sales forecasts for labor and material
  • Monitor and report financial, schedule and technical performance of assigned projects
  • Identify and coordinate resources necessary for repair efforts
  • Oversee repair budgets with the responsibility to analyze, manage and report on budget performance and variance analysis
  • Interface and communicate with all levels of the organization

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and demonstrate ability to analyze data using graphs and pivot tables
  • Experience using schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
  • This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work
