Job Description:
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for technical and administrative leadership of a Manufacturing group within Operations. The Manufacturing team supports the Antenna, Radio Frequency Equipment, Small Modem, and Commercial Products manufacturing teams.
This individual will collaborate with management and subject matter experts to identify and establish required job skills matrices to determine employee training needs, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management and a proven track record of leading manufacturing teams to success.
Essential Functions:
- Leads and directs team by providing direction on all facets of manufacturing. Responsibilities include work scheduling, team briefings, personnel development, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
- Partners with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans which drive measurable improvements to the portion of the Company’s AOP that falls within this role’s span of control.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, “Right the First Time”, Safety First, audit ready, and Policy & Security compliance
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
- Ability to delegate tasks, manage resources effectively, and drive team performance to achieve organizational objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with both team members and senior management.
- Proven experience in manufacturing processes such as production planning, process optimization, and quality control.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and techniques such as lean manufacturing, six sigma, or automated production systems.
- Experience in managing or supporting high-volume production environments, including optimizing workflows, ensuring consistent product quality, and maintaining efficient throughput.
- Familiarity with automated systems, supply chain management, and scalability techniques to meet production demands while minimizing downtime and costs.
- Strong understanding of development strategies.
- Experience with logistics/production process flows/factory floor layout
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

- Experience leading and managing a team of professionals.
