Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a candidate for an Industrial Security Manager within the Spectrum Superiority sector in Salt Lake City, UT. The Manager, Industrial Security will ensure that program activities adhere to 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5105.21, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and all other applicable government regulations. This role requires a seasoned security professional with expertise across all industrial security disciplines. The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker who can exercise independent judgment to manage project initiatives of substantial importance with minimal oversight or direction. The Manager, Industrial Security will manage risks, deliver security training, and align security solutions with business needs and goals. The individual will communicate with both inside and outside customers to explain and influence practices, processes and approaches, while ensuring security programs remain effective, compliant with all applicable government regulations and corporate security requirements.
Essential Functions
- Execute daily security operations and ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
- Oversee access control to the compartmented areas within facilities.
- Establish and implement standard practice and procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Program Implementation Plans as necessary for each secure environment.
- Manage, conduct, and prepare for all required compliance inspections including but not limited to annual internal self-inspections, corporate inspections, and external customer/government inspections as required.
- Maintain DD-254s, accreditation letters, access rosters and other required paperwork.
- Provide security support for meetings and discussions with both internal and external customers and government representatives.
- Maintain data compliance in JADE, SIMs and other required systems of record.
- Provide support to other business unit security programs as needed.
- Support off-hours program activity should the need arise.
- Manage the establishment and maintenance of OSAs, SCIFs, and SAPFs.
- Identify, investigate, manage and report security incidents and/or violations, and implement corrective measures.
- Maintain required DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Industrial Security / COMSEC experience.
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance is required; adjudicated and current Continuous Evaluation date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Homeland Security, Security Administration, Criminal Justice, Industrial Security Management, Information Systems Security, Information Technology Management or other relevant field.
- Possess practical knowledge and experience with DISS, NISS, JADE, SIMs, Scattered Castles, ACCS, CWAN, SIC, SGN, AF7, CORE, and SIPRNET with an understanding of personnel status changes requiring Customer notification.
- FSO certification via current Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) criteria.
- Impeccable Ethics & Integrity with the ability to maintain regulatory compliance while supporting the mission.
- Must demonstrate professionalism, independent engagement, and collaboration with peers and external personnel.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
