Job Description:

Perform as part of a team that supports the development and delivery of courseware in support of the DIPN member product line. Develops all training program artifacts in accordance with the 5 step ISD process. Position requires the ability to operate within an Agile Development Life Cycle framework.


Essential Functions:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Develop and deliver courseware and training program artifacts in accordance with the 5 step ISD process.
  • Integrate with developers and subject matter experts to determine instructional requirements, collect data, customize design proposals, and implement solutions.
  • Support the activities assisting the DDI and FDI Tech Guide Development efforts.
  • Translate technical terms into basic comprehensible language and training aids.
  • Understand and communicate with technical staff as a standard part of the position.
  • Prepare effective presentations and briefing materials to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals.
  • Develop, author, and implement training plans in a team environment.
  • Multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a good aptitude for problem solving, being organized, and able to communicate at a high level.
  • Willingness and ability to travel required (up to 5%).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years experience in a related technical field. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in training development.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in ADDIE instructional design model.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Adobe Dreamweaver or other HTML based programs.
  • Must be a US citizen.

referred Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Camtasia, and other proprietary tools for concurrent training development.
  • Strong working knowledge of the software development and testing process.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to brief and evaluate student personnel.
  • Knowledge of fundamental constructs such as learning theory and instructional systems development.
  • Experience working on hardware and software development projects, especially Agile-based development programs, within DOD or Air Force.
  • Experience in development of training for virtual training devices.
  • Experience with Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process.
  • Experience with GIT and Bitbucket.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $127,500 - $236,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $110,500 - $205,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
