Job Description:

 

In this position, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and measuring communications that reflect the vision and strategic direction of the Spectrum Superiority business sector. The scope includes both internal and external communications leveraging a variety of channels to reach key audiences. The role requires exceptional writing abilities, a strong understanding of aerospace and defense, and the capacity to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content. In addition, this position will evaluate and synthesize communications measures to increase impact and derive insights.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Work closely with the sector President and the senior leadership team to develop, implement and measure an integrated internal and external communications program aligned to the business strategy.
  • Create strategic, innovative and engaging communications content to reach a variety of internal and external audiences. Develop key messages and materials that align with our company's mission, values and strategic goals.
  • Partner with Business Development on marketing communications campaigns to support keep-sold, capture and growth initiatives. Write and develop marketing content such as advertising, videos, webpages, brochures and interactive presentations.
  • Partner with subject matter experts on reporter engagements to secure earned media about the business’ capabilities, program milestones and product launches.
  • Partner with corporate channel owners to develop and implement social media content about the S2 business.
  • Support the deployment of change initiatives by developing internal communications for the sector President to educate, inspire and motivate, advising on local preferences, global best practices and culture.
  • Write and create the sector President’s communications tactics including speeches, presentations, articles, op-eds, thought leadership, editorials, social media and reports.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to develop metrics for the sector’s communications program. Monitor aerospace and defense industry trends, emerging technologies and other pertinent topics to support communication objectives.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Manage multiple writing projects under tight deadlines, adapting to changing priorities as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS or other project management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Project management abilities, with a track record of delivering successful projects on time.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and ability to re-prioritize daily.
  • Willingness to travel.Corporate experience in communications or government sectors.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence in practice.
  • Knowledge of revenue and lead generation strategic planning to effectively promote re-energize sector capabilities.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry highly desired.
