Job Description:

The Engineering Technician B is responsible for performing functions associated with Demonstration Asset Management. Responsible for systems configuration, functional test, software updates, process development, Product Line and Engineering support, technical instruction, customer help desk, inventory, debugging, procurement, and repair.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for providing technical support and product knowledge for international OCONUS and CONUS Equipment Demonstration.
  • Creates shipping document with Juristiction Classification Ananlysis information to expedite OCONUS shipments.
  • Responsible for customer help desk. Provide timely responds to emails and phone calls for technical information, quote requests, and Product Line inquiries.
  • Provides technical support for existing customers and internal engineers including trouble shooting, problem solving and documentation of solutions and procedures.
  • Knowledge of data links and RF configuration for testing Demo Pool assets for quality verification of the equipment.
  • Creates documentation to facilitate proper fielding and application of equipment.
  • Maintains the integrity, inventory, and documentation of the Demo Pool Assets.

Qualifications:

·       Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of tactical radio and related product line equipment. The ability to communicate technical information in a professional environment.
  • Familiarity with RF tactical communication networks – radios, waveforms and applications, wireless networking, IP network management, and routing.
  • Capable of creating professional technical documents and standard operating procedures.
  • Previous experience with power tools, power meters, and spectrum analyzers.
  • 4+ years in a technical role with demonstrated basic knowledge of data links, radio frequencies, antenna systems, and networking.
  • 4+ years experience in the use and application of tactical radios in relevant military environments.
