Job Description:

The Program Director for the Next Generation Jammer – Low Band (NGJ-LB) is responsible for leading and managing the overall strategy, execution, and delivery of the NGJ-LB program, a cornerstone capability for advanced airborne electronic attack. This role is pivotal in supporting the US Navy’s EA-18G Growler fleet and the Royal Australian Air Force’s electronic warfare mission, ensuring both forces maintain operational superiority in contested electromagnetic environments.

The Program Director oversees all aspects of program performance, including the integration of NGJ-LB systems onto the EA-18G platform, alignment with US Navy and Australian Air Force requirements, and coordination with government, industry, and international stakeholders. The role involves directing cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and support, while managing program budgets, schedules, and risk to achieve successful outcomes.

The Program Director ensures regulatory and contractual compliance, drives innovation and technical excellence, and delivers program objectives that meet or exceed customer expectations. This position requires a strategic leader who can navigate complex acquisition processes, foster collaborative relationships, and champion the NGJ-LB program as a critical enabler of coalition electronic warfare capabilities.

  • Team Development & Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary team. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment to drive innovation and program success.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, effective relationship management, and alignment of program objectives.
  • Risk, Financial, and P&L Management:
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Oversee program budgets, financial forecasting, cost control, and full P&L accountability to ensure fiscal responsibility, profitability, and timely resolution of variances.
  • Capital and Infrastructure Improvements:
Lead the planning and execution of capital investments and infrastructure enhancements to support program objectives and long-term operational excellence. Ensure that improvements are aligned with strategic goals and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Compliance, Quality Assurance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to all regulatory, contractual, and quality standards. Drive continuous improvement and best practices across the program. Prepare and present comprehensive status reports, performance metrics, and executive briefings, maintaining thorough program documentation for audit and reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience, and/or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
  • 10+ years of program management experience in defense acquisition, electronic warfare, or aerospace systems.
  • Active SECRET U.S. government security clearance.
