Job Description:
The Segment Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) team is seeking a motivated and analytical early-career professional to support strategic EHS&S initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate who is interested in applying data analysis, digital tools, and industry standard methods to enhance sustainability performance and business processes.
The individual in this role will work with EHS&S data, reporting tools such as Power BI, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities to help improve visibility, drive insights, and support the ongoing development of the Segment strategic initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to gain broad exposure to EHS&S systems, cross-functional collaboration, and enterprise-level process improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Sustainability Data Management – Work with locations to ensure data is entered, reviewed, and validated, ensuring accuracy and integrity of reported information across the organization.
- EHS Data Analysis & Reporting – Perform monthly analysis of key EHS metrics, identifying trends and translating data into actionable insights for program and leadership teams.
- Dashboard Development & Visualization – Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that provide stakeholders with clear, real-time visibility into sustainability and safety performance.
- Communications & Content Creation – Develop and distribute internal sustainability communications and safety awareness content to engage employees across the organization.
- Project & Event Coordination – Support the sustainability project pipeline and assist in planning and executing company-wide sustainability events and initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting – Respond to data requests and coordinate with internal teams and business units to support broader organizational reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainabilty, Environmental Enginerring or related field or have completed their bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or research experience related to quality, manufacturing, analytics, or process improvement
- Experience using Power BI, SQL, Python, or other analytics tools
- Interest in or exposure to AI tools, automation, or knowledge management applications
