Job Description:

Responsible for performing a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations, which may include skilled hand work or the use of automated production equipment, in a Repair and Overhaul environment. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents using work instructions, Engineering direction and print specifications. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Prior solder experience required in a manufacturing environment, J-STD certification a plus
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and fixturing
• Must use PPE appropriate to the use of chemicals and protection from other hazards
• Must be able to lift at least 32 pounds
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings and shop orders
• Communicates with the operations team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures
• Must understand general manufacturing and repair processes
• Identify assembly process improvements to support e3 cost savings initiatives
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of data into SAP ERP system

Qualifications:

Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment
• J-STD-001 solder and IPC-610 inspection certification
• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
• Process Improvement experience
• Critical thinking and analytics
