Job Description:
Perform as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware and software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Design and develop physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
- Design, integrate, and test, wideband and narrowband communication and datalinks
- Translate requests of the customer into system level requirements
- Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
- Perform systems engineering trade studies
- Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
- Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
- Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
- Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals
- Have experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment
- Support project bidding and proposal activities
- Willingness and ability to travel 20%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Security+ Certified
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Top Secret SCI security clearance
- Aircraft optical sensor system integration and ground/flight test support
- Experience with obtaining and maintaining a government network ATO (Authorization to Operate)
- Networking experience (CCNA certs)
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
- Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying hardware and/or software
- Experience developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans in a team environment
