Job Description:

Perform as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware and software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms.



Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains
  • Design, integrate, and test, wideband and narrowband communication and datalinks
  • Translate requests of the customer into system level requirements
  • Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
  • Perform systems engineering trade studies
  • Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
  • Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
  • Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals
  • Have experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment
  • Support project bidding and proposal activities 
  • Willingness and ability to travel 20%



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics) and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Security+ Certified



Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Top Secret SCI security clearance
  • Aircraft optical sensor system integration and ground/flight test support
  • Experience with obtaining and maintaining a government network ATO (Authorization to Operate)
  • Networking experience (CCNA certs)
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying hardware and/or software
  • Experience developing, authoring, and implementing system test plans in a team environment
