Job Description:
Our team is actively seeking a Contracts Principal to join the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) business area. This position is responsible for a growing portfolio, with a primary focus on international Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) to major customers such as the Defense Acquisition Program Administration in Korea.
The Contracts Principal will lead all aspects of contract administration, including negotiation and execution. This role will be an integral part of the program teams, supporting risk and opportunity management, scope and change management, and customer engagement activities to ensure successful contract execution in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. This individual will also support the offset team in their successful fulfillment of substantial offset obligations.
This position will focus on current and future international contracts, with an emphasis on building and maintaining strategic relationships with major customers in Korea.
Essential Functions:
- Drafting contractual communications
- Risk and opportunity management
- Interpreting contract requirements and T&C’s and track contractual performance to the requirements
- Working with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution
- Serving as the primary liaison for contractual communications between the company and international customers, with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with federal regulatory requirements and various international regulations
- Assisting procurement personnel with contracting tasks, including establishing flow-down terms and conditions for international suppliers and subcontractors.
- Utilizes knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.
- Utilizing knowledge of international contracting practices, including offset agreements, export regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret contracts and statements of work (SOW)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize appropriately
- Must possess strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data and documents, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality in all work outputs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 6 years experience working with Defense programs, FAR/DFARS, and TINA
- Minimum 6 years experience negotiating and managing programs with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration
Preferred Skills:
- Experience negotiating and managing offset MOA’s and MOU’s
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiations
- Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses
- Excellent computer skills including MS office applications (strong Excel and Word skills).
- Self-motivating and able to manage multiple contracts with minimal assistance from others.
- Excellent people skills with a positive attitude, able to collaborate in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment.
