Job Description:
This person will contribute to the company’s success by supporting all aspects of the mechanical assembly process, assembly lines, and equipment for the Jefferson Road Operations Center. It is essential that this role works effectively in a team environment as well as possess the ability to be self-sufficient when responding to operational support requests or performing proactive duties. This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for successfully developing and maintaining production processes while driving improvements in these processes and providing structured problem solving for production issues.
Essential Functions:
- Support manufacturing and assembly operations for new and existing products, including production lines, equipment, tooling, and fixturing.
- Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and other production-related documentation.
- Provide day-to-day production floor support by responding to operational issues and helping maintain efficient product flow.
- Work with Engineers, Quality, and Operations personnel to identify and implement process improvements that reduce cost, minimize waste, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
- Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methods.
- Support validation and implementation of new or modified products, processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Participate in product and process change management activities, including support of change control efforts.
- Collect and analyze process and production data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Highly motivated self-starter who’s able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment balancing competing priorities.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably supporting electro-mechanical assembly production processes.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and support implementation of effective corrective actions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, PFMEA, or Six Sigma.
- Exposure to additive manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Experience using CAD software tools, preferably CREO.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $63,500 - $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
