Job Description:
The Jefferson Road Operations Center has a need for an Supervisor of Operations Management. This person will be responsible for leading, developing, and coaching high performance work teams within an assigned manufacturing operation. This position will have responsibility for the safety, cost, quality, delivery, and productivity of an assigned team. This position will work closely with multiple functional areas to optimize materials flows, equipment, and workforce within the area to meet or exceed daily business objectives. The leader in this position must drive continuous improvement and remove waste from within the manufacturing process.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, coordinate, lead, and execute daily production plans in the achievement of company goals, including driving compliance to business requirements, such as reporting time and attendance, safety, audits, etc.
- Collaborate with various functional groups to ensure production needs are met
- Ability to adapt and succeed in a dynamic environment with ever-changing customer requirements.
- Ensure consistent and effective shift-to-shift coordination.
- Provide leadership and coaching that foster high team morale and effectiveness.
- Develop and cross-train team members to support operational plans; ensure training plans are effective and documented.
- Lead and/or facilitate continuous improvement efforts and projects and incorporate continuous improvement into the daily operations.
- Maintain neat and clean work areas and ensure compliance with safety,5S standards, and JROC Shop Floor Work; ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Effectively performance manage work force - develop high performers and coaching low performers
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 6 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience implementing continuous improvement to procedures and processes.
- Experience with planning and establishing operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results.
- Experience with basic supervisory and lean approaches.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools and Outlook.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $56,500 - $105,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
