Job Description:
Responsible for managing the cost, revenue, cash, schedule requirements of complex DoD programs through all phases from proposal to period of performance completion. Ensures that all resources such as engineering, manpower, subcontracts, and line items are available to support internal and external delivery targets. Involved in defining deliverables, and guiding internals teams. Formulates and executes long term plans for cost/profit control. Assists Sales team to secure new orders, formulate requirements, and help expedite orders. Works with customers to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunities. Provide leadership for program management activities.
Communicates within and outside of the organization on matters of program importance to influence senior leadership to accept new practices and approaches, and concepts. Contributes to the develops of new concepts or technologies. Directs the execution of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short-to mid-term functional area results. Requires management and cross functional leadership knowledge and skills.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to obtain Security Clearence
- Domestic travel may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant Program Management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Program Management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related Program Management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Previous experience managing complex programs including development or system intregration a plus
- Technical background preferred
- Experience in using advanced application of technical and business principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical and business problems
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $79,000 - $146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
