Job Description:
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the complete production cycle to meet program requirements. Works with engineering, program, quality and operations staff to ensure schedule details are accurate. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and engineering.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain master production schedules using Microsoft Project
- Ensure schedule data is updated in a timely fashion, including dates, resources and work centers.
- Determine the effects of changes to schedules and work with Operations to re-plan where required
- Promote smooth communication between departments by conducting cross-functional status meetings
- Ensure the master production schedule is aligned with the integrated master schedule
- Prepare and distribute status reports
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools and project scheduling/resource planning software
- Experience in the Aerospace or DOD industry
- Demonstrated experience as a driven individual that will follow through to close on schedule requirements through effective negotiation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- 2+ years directly related experience in production planning, scheduling, or project management
- Analytical ability for capacity calculation/planning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $59,000 - $110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
