Job Description:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
- Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio systems
- Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance
- Create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
- Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
- Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
- Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
- Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
- Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, and debug software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Support Delivery of new products to our manufacturing facility.
- Fixture, cable, PCB design for automated manufacturing test fixtures.
- Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, willingness to learn new tools.
- US Citizenship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot.
- Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters.
- Understanding of software defined radio products and communications.
- Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of the fundamentals of In-Circuit Test (ICT), functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis.
- Must be a self-starter, and able to work successfully with minimal supervision.
- NI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $79,000- $146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
