L3Harris is seeking an experienced Application Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in streamlining our supply chain processes, improving data accuracy, and enhancing decision-making capabilities through the development and implementation of digital tools. The Application Development Specialist will work closely with the Supply Chain Team to identify and address current business process challenges and inefficiencies. This role involves generating potential solutions, collaborating with key stakeholders, and designing, developing, and maintaining these solutions to optimize our supply chain operations. A background in Procurement, Category Management, Production Planning, or a related field is highly desirable.
Essential Functions:
- Design, create, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using Python, Microsoft SQL, and Snowflake.
- Design, create, and maintain applications using Typescript and Python
- Provide application support to the Supply Chain Team, learn about the business, and create novel solutions to business problems.
- Participate and contribute to departmental and company-wide process improvements and lean initiatives.
- Work with the Supply Chain team to build high-value end-to-end integrated application tool chains.
- Collaborate with functional leadership on road mapping capabilities and future capacity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Nextjs (Typescript platform)
- FastAPI (Python platform)
- Git (version control)
- JIRA (task management)
- Knowledge of Supply Chain principles, procurement processes, and concepts.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- DevOps experience.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and industry best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work with teams, individuals, and suppliers to troubleshoot application and process problems.
- Customer-focused and service-oriented.
- Leadership skills to identify systemic problems and coordinate resources to address them.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills, adapt to changing environments, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while remaining focused on long-term organizational goals.
- Experience with the Atlassian stack is a plus.
- Project management experience.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $79,000 - $146,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
