Job Description:

This person will contribute to the company’s success by participating in digital circuit design and product integration. This role will report directly to a Senior Engineering Manager and is responsible for successfully designing digital circuit boards for Software Defined Radios and associated equipment, as well as working with cross-functional teams to support product integration and manufacturing introduction.

Essential Functions:

  • Support digital and related analog hardware research, design, and development of circuit board assemblies
  • Develop requirements from high-level use cases and product description documents
  • Digital hardware printed circuit board (PCB) design including requirement analysis, high level design, schematic capture and layout analysis
  • Make design decisions and assess technical risks
  • Perform detailed design simulation and analysis for Digital circuitry
  • Perform integration with other subsystems
  • Perform subsystem and system level verification and validation testing
  • Identify, track and repair assigned hardware defects
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Basic understanding of Radio Frequency circuits and Software Defined Radio architectures
  • Microprocesser design and protocols experience (ARM Core, DDR, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Schematic capture tool usage experience (Mentor vx2.6/DxDesigner)
  • Digital simulation and modelling tool experience (Matlab, LTSpice, Hyperlinx, etc.)
  • Configuration Management software experience (Agile)
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and test techniques for conducted and radiated emissions (MIL-STD-461)
  • Familiarity with Boundary Scan tools and how to use them
  • Experience with embedded SW, scripting and/or VHDL as part of design analysis and troubleshooting

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $90,500 -  $168,500 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
