Job Description:

Come and join the Aerojet Rocketdyne Redmond Tool Engineering Team as we build the next generation of in-space propulsion rocket engines for cutting-edge spacecraft! As a Tooling Fabrication Coordinator, you will work with our team to coordinate MRP operations supporting fabrication of tooling and test equipment for both production and development programs. You will produce internal work packages that drive procurement and fabrication of Tooling and Test Equipment (T&TE) supporting manufacture of flight hardware. You will assemble, inspect, and deliver tooling and test equipment to internal customers. You will work directly with Rocket Assembly, Test Lab, Tooling Engineering, Program Management, and Procurement personnel on a daily basis to ensure smooth and efficient fabrication of tooling.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Use internal ERP system (Oracle) and digital planning system (Delmia) to plan and execute tooling builds.
  • Analyze tooling and test equipment bill of materials, drawings, and schedules for the manufacturing, assembly, and test of tooling and test equipment.
  • Maintain and generate build plans, release supplier requisitions and shop orders for independent demand requirements.
  • Assemble and/or direct assembly of Tooling and Test Equipment.
  • Support Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out activities related to Tooling and Test Equipment.
  • Track both raw materials and finished tooling and test equipment through assembly and shop areas. 
  • Schedule tooling orders and collaborate closely with Engineers, Machinists, and Program Management to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Identify and communicate concerns and issues with potential scheduling impacts
  • Coordinate transfer of tooling, test equipment, and material items between Aerojet Rocketdyne sites and vendor and customer sites, e.g. Commercial Shipping, Inter-Org Transfers, Internal Sales Orders, etc.
  • Support procurement of material and components for tooling and test equipment.
  • Secondary Duties: Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skillset, e.g. SharePoint or Access Database administration.
  • Welding, Machining, Drafting, or Electrical Fabrication Experience.
  • Pneumatic or Hydraulic Testing Experience.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in WA is $59,000 - $110,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
