Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Program Finance Specialist to join our Finance team in supporting in-space propulsion development & manufacturing in Redmond, WA. This is an on-site position.
Job Description:
As a Program Finance Specialist, you will drive the financial success of a high impact, and growing portfolio of in-space propulsion projects.
This role requires an experienced finance professional that will partner with technical, and program leads to model program financials, produce accurate reporting, analyze financial data, and partner in efforts to achieve financial success against operating plans. This role will influence program leadership decision making in revenue recognition, budget and forecasts, program strategy, resource allocation, and contract actions. A successful candidate can work under general supervision with the ability to manage competing priorities, recommends solutions and enhancements to issues, systems and processes.
This role requires clear communication, process ownership, and high attention to detail. This role requires knowledge of Earn Value Management, government contract project accounting. Join a team managing an exciting portfolio of in-space propulsion projects!
Essential Functions:
- Work with program teams to manage monthly, quarterly, and multi-year program forecasts. Build, maintain, and execute program budgets using basic EVM and budgeting best practices.
- Develop Quarterly Estimate at Completes (EAC) and ensure accuracy of actual and estimated costs, and provide sufficient rationale for EAC decisions to senior and executive leadership.
- Produce and deliver financial reporting to government customers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze monthly cost, revenue, cash, and orders data to support the accuracy of financial forecasts and measure the business unit’s financial health. Act at finance lead for the Annual Operating Plan development, and track performance throughout the year.
- Provide quick ad hoc analysis with high proficiency in large scale data management through Excel, Hyperion, and Essbase.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of related finance experience, Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of related finance experience. In lieu of degree, 8 years of finance related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Graduate Degree or higher certification (MBA, MS Accounting, CPA)
- Advanced Financial modeling
- FAR / NASA FAR knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Prior experience with Hyperion, SAP, or OPDEC products
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to draw conclusions from large data sets, takes initiative and works with urgency in an ambiguous work environment
- Strong business writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Interest in aerospace, space exploration, and advanced manufacturing
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington is $75,000 - $139,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
