Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled program manager with a strong background in the development and production of avionics for space applications to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with DC/DC switch mode power supplies, high voltage and digital logic circuits for electric propulsion systems and will bring program leadership, communication and cost/schedule management skills. They will be responsible for leading a team of electronics design and manufacturing engineers, along with support personnel in the development and qualification of an electric propulsion power processing unit. This role requires the ability to develop and manage detailed program plans, schedules, financial budgets, brief internal management and customers along with effectively managing and motivating the program team. The role will report to the manager of Electric Propulsion Programs and be based in Redmond, WA.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide overall leadership of the program’s development and manufacturing team in executing the program plan
  • Support budget and schedule planning and statusing, Earned Value Management a plus
  • Present program status briefings/reports to internal management and customers
  • Provide problem solving leadership to program team when issues are encountered
  • Risk and opportunity management

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • An engineering degree - Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace preferred
  •  Experience supporting the development of DC/DC switch mode power supplies for space based applications including: circuit design and simulation, circuit card design and manufacture, Field Programmable Gate Arrays, space radiation effects,
  • MBA or PMP certification
  • Earned Value Management experience

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the state of Washington is $104,500 - $193,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
