Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Material Program Management (MPM) to join our Supply Chain and Material Management (SCMM) organization.  This position can be located at either our Redmond, WA or West Palm Beach, FL facility.  Travel to other L3Harris sites and supplier locations is expected.   The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading supply chain activities required to meet the assigned portfolio of business sector requirements.  The selected individual will also be responsible for collaborating with other Supply Chain, Program Office, Business Management, Scheduling and Material Planning, & Quality functions as well as Supplier leadership to improve material availability and supplier performance.  Knowledge of aerospace industry products, integrated supply chain management teams, government procurement requirements and industry standard supply chain practices is required. Candidate must be a proactive leader with the ability to make responsive decisions that balance the strategic and tactical needs of the Supply Chain organization and the sectors they support.  

 

The Senior Manager will report to the Director of Supply Chain for our Space Propulsion & Power Systems Sector. As such, the Senior Manager  will have the responsibility to: accept program direction from company executives and the Program Office and implement it expeditiously and conscientiously; manage the supply chain portion of assigned programs to the best of their abilities within approved resources; be customer-focused and provide the best, most cost-effective systems or capabilities, and within contract bounds. While conducting these responsibilities the Senior Manager will apply continuous improvement to; innovate, strive for optimal solutions and seek better ways to manage; be candid about supply chain status, including risks, problems, mitigations and solutions, likely outcomes and opportunities; prepare thorough estimates of financial and resources that are required to execute the assigned program scope; and manage the supply chain portion, including supplier performance teams, within assigned programs to the best of their abilities to achieve the approved financial base-lined program objectives.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direction to Material Program Managers to ensure the portfolio of programs performs consistent with sector objectives.  This is usually done in the context of a standard business rhythm and includes adhoc tasks such as new proposals, audits, or other similar activities typically performed by Supply Chain.
  • Manages portfolio for financial affordability and forecasting of material sales to support sector objectives. Includes quarterly material EAC reviews and annual support of long term financial planning and the development of the annual operating plan (AOP) for the sector.
  • Responsible for effectively utilizing functional organizations, such as Scheduling, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Category Management, Logistics, Business Management, and Program Management, to ensure portfolio of programs performs consistent with sector objectives.
  • Responsible for interfacing with executive management and cross functionally communicating the execution status of assigned portfolio of programs and accountable for the successful accomplishment of all Supply Chain contractual requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Proficient knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Proficient knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and related business intelligence tools
  • Passion for Space and what the universe holds
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient knowledge of government procurement practices and adherence to the FAR/DFARs

 

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington State is $118,000 - $219,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
