Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tool Room and Supply Technician to join our team. The Tool Room and Supply Technician will be responsible for managing the inventory, resupply, and distribution of consumables and age-sensitive materials. This role ensures that all tools and materials are available and in good condition to support the operational needs of the company.
Essential Functions:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all tools, calibrations, consumables, and age-sensitive materials.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to ensure stock levels are accurate.
- Monitor usage rates and forecast future needs to prevent shortages.
- Resupply Management:
- Order and replenish consumables as needed.
- Manage age sensitive materials in work area work with material planner for replenishment.
- Prepare kits and stage to manufacturing line from delivery in-shelves.
- Manage stores returns for tooling and materials from the work area.
- Tool Room Operations:
- Track calibrations, check-in / check-out equipment from cal lab and tool stores as required to support the mfg floor. Issue tools and materials to employees as needed.
- Inspect returned tools for damage and arrange for repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Ensure the tool room is organized, clean, and complies with 5S and safety standards.
- Age-Sensitive Materials Management:
- Monitor the shelf life of age-sensitive materials and ensure they are used or removed from the work area before expiration.
- Maintain proper storage practices of age-sensitive materials. Coordinate shelf life extensions with engineering as appropriate.
- Dispose of expired materials in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
- Support regular inventory reports with property management.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the tool room and materials storage areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a tool room or similar environment.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to tool and material handling.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing, walking, and lifting heavy items.
- The work environment may include exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $25.48/hr MIN - $47.60/hr MAX.
