The Material Program Management position provides Supply Chain/Materiel Management (SC/MM) representation and leadership in support of Business Unit and Business Development activities. They are responsible for effectively leading the SC/MM functional organization to develop and document strategies, plans, and processes to manage the supply chain for integration into the Program Management plan. They work directly with Program Management and act as the primary customer contact for the Supply Chain portion of program activities. They represent procurement on the program integrated program teams (IPTs) and interface cross functionally in the resolution of material status, problems or issues..

 

The Material Management position is responsible for SC/MM execution of assigned program scope from time of customer request for proposal through contract closeout. To successfully complete these responsibilities, the MPM must:

 

Essential Functions:

• Assist or lead in the development of a Supply Chain Management Plan that establishes the SC/MM approach to achieving program objectives ensuring quality performance, on time delivery and best value to the customer

 • Manage program heath with Earned Value (EV) to manage program cost and schedule by using EV fundamentals and support Budget Change Requests (BCRs), Latest Revised Estimate (LRE), Status to report weekly performance to baseline plan

• Develop a Joint Strategic Plan (JSP) by program to forecast material sales that support the organization’s revenue recognition

• Formulate monthly material forecasts to support the company’s Joint Strategic Plan (JSP)

• Formulate quarterly Estimate at Complete (EAC) reports to communicate the program’s performance to budget

• Assist or lead SC/MM in the identification of risks and opportunities to executing the assigned program scope within cost, schedule and technical performance requirements

• Lead SC/MM in supporting program proposal activities to develop compliant labor and material estimates required to support the Supply Chain Management Plan

 • Assist or lead SC/MM in the management and execution of the assigned program scope within cost, schedule and technical performance requirements

• Support the program team in developing and baselining a program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) • Support the program team in developing a budget baseline

 • Coordinate with SC/MM management to establish work priorities for SC/MM personnel (e.g. buying and major subcontract personnel, etc.)

 • Support supplier contract negotiations to meet program requirements

• Actively manage suppliers to level required (e.g. Supplier Mission Assurance Reviews (SMARs), Post Award Reviews (PARs), Program Management Reviews (PMRs) Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Supplier Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (SMRRs), etc.) to achieve program requirements

 • Use key metrics to drive performance that meets program requirements

 • Assist or lead in the development and execution of SC/MM affordability initiatives that mitigate cost growth from last price paid

• Monitor the program supply base to assess supplier performance and sustainability for early identification of issues and minimize expedite activities

 

These essential job functions require:

• Operating a computer and other office equipment including a calculator, copier, fax machine, and printer throughout each day.

• Working in 15’x20’ office shared with three other co-workers.

• Moving around the office throughout the day, including walking, bending, reaching above shoulder level, and occasionally lifting up to 15 lbs.

• Frequently corresponding with other employees about intercompany payable invoices. Must be able to communicate accurate information.

• Knowledge of Accounting and ability to learn and perform complicated accounting processes.

• Ability to routinely handle emergency or time-sensitive situations.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field, or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $25.48/hr-$46.63/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
