Job Description:

As a Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO), you will be responsible for implementation, compliance and training of all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program, along with corporate security policies, for program execution for the Agile Development Group, Plano TX.  The CSSO’s responsibilities include execution of all facility security functions including SAPF operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, document control, badging, and access control. The CSSO executes all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on NISPOM and other governing directives as applicable. The incumbent is responsible for exhibiting the dedication and expectation of excellence required of an experienced security professional while working and making decisions independently without direct supervision. The CSSO will execute with a team of security professionals and also alone within his/her respective program; exhibits flexibility, sets expectations for the PM, and manages customer expectations in a sometimes fast-paced environment. The CSSO is responsible for supporting and all L3Harris corporate policies including the protection of L3Harris' intellectual property. The role involves interaction with both internal and external customers and Government security officials.

The Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, a segment of L3Harris’ Agile Development Group, focuses on creating groundbreaking, next-generation technologies. Specializing in advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV), cutting-edge radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies, AS&T combines the nimbleness of a small company with the extensive experience of a large corporation.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain security program policies to ensure ongoing compliance with 32 CFR, Part 117, IC, DoDM 5205.07 vol 1-4, and other requirements of all classified programs under purview.
  • Reviews Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) outlining customer guidelines and establishing procedures for the handling, storage, and transportation of assigned assets.
  • Conduct security related employee briefings to include indoctrination, debriefing, courier, closed area, program access, OPSEC, Insider Threat, derivative classification, foreign travel, and routine annual security trainings.
  • Prepare and maintain System Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) in accordance with ICD 705.
  • Implement DD-254 Security Guidance and ensure program compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Analyze and investigate security incidents and violations; prepare internal and external customer reports.
  • Conduct annual self-inspections.
  • Physical security duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining and changing combinations, access control systems, alarm accesses, secure area modifications and buildouts

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior security experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior security experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior security experience
  • Active Secret Clearance 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Examine the physical security requirements for installation and facility access control, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), Special Access Program Facility (SAPF), classified storage areas
  • Knowledge and Implementation of the DoDM 5205.07.
  • Knowledge and Implementation of the ICD 705.
  • Review and demonstrate knowledge of physical security concepts, measures, countermeasures, and aids
  • Analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to DOD assets and the different methodologies to manage risk
  • Examine the parts of the physical security plan and identify assets, stakeholders, and physical security protections
  • Identify requirements, conduct problem solving, and cost benefit analysis to justify physical security measures
  • Prepare recommendations and brief the commander on protecting DOD assets
  • Knowledge of Access Control Systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. 
  • Must communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Must interact with persons of varying importance, multi-cultural customers and personnel.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance is preferred.
