  • Assist Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) with explosives site plan development and the internal approval path, including Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) and Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) approval for contractor-owned, contractor-operated facilities, and serve as technical point of contact for customer, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and state and local regulatory engagement.
  • Deliver instructor-level Lift Director and Industrial Vehicle Operations training, support chemicals of interest screening and reporting, and lead root cause analysis, mishap investigation, and corrective action closure for energetic operations.
  • Travel: 25% to energetic operations, project sites, and enterprise locations, primarily Camden, Arkansas and Orange, in Culpeper, Virginia, including occasional short-notice travel.
  • Ability to obtain a US secret security clearance.

  • Working knowledge of the Interim Hazard Classification process sufficient to interpret classification data, coordinate with designated focal points, and apply results to storage siting and transportation decisions.
  • Federal explosives licensing experience with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, including responsible person or employee possessor administration.
  • Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 780 lightning protection and NFPA 10 as applied to magazines.
