Job Description: 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Surface Mount Technology (SMT), operating a pick and place and as well supporting the SMT prep area by handling incoming materials, preparing parts, managing screen printer stencils, and generating label templates. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with SMT processes, and excellent organizational skills.


Essential Functions: 
•    Under general supervision, responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic assembly operations or sub-assemblies.
•    Familiarity with the use and operation of SMT equipment, as screen printer and  pick and place equipment, preferably MyCronic pick and place equipment or related.
•    SMT Staging –Setup and tear down of SMD parts on feeders, trays, tubes ready for SMT machine processing.
•    Bake out of Printed Wire Boards (PWB), Moisture Sensitive Parts, in preparation for SMT processing.
•    Management and control of screen printer solder stencils and its database. 
•    Understanding of feeder selection, reel installation, splice and induction efforts.
•    Performs operation setup and product changeover operation as required.
•    Generation of label templates for UID and NON-UID labels in addition to standard label identification printing. 

Qualifications:
•    Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
•    Ability to obtain and maintain required DoD clearance upon hire.

Preferred Additional Skills:
•    General experience with SMT machines:
o    MyCronic (MyLabel and MyCenter) experience is a plus.
o    Experience in the electronic industry.
o    Strong mechanical aptitude.
o    Experience with IPC 610  and J-STD-001 Class 3 standards.
o    Experience with label template generation for UID and NON-UID. labels, in addition to standard label identification printing.
o    Good communication skills and good writing ability skills.
