Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr Supervisor Integration and Test Engineer with a strong background in tooling to join our dynamic factory support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering technician team responsible for the integration, testing, and validation of complex tooling systems, with a focus on developing solutions that enhance our product build and testing capabilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team
- Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team.
- Establish and maintain appropriate staffing needs.
- Assigns tasks, peer reviews and provides training.
- Integration and Testing:
- Plan, design, and execute integration and test procedures for sophisticated tooling systems.
- Perform system-level testing to ensure the integrated components function correctly.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration and testing issues.
- Tooling Development:
- Design, develop, and implement custom tools to support integration and testing activities.
- Improve existing tooling solutions based on feedback and evolving testing needs.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of tooling solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
- Provide training and support to team members on the use of new and existing tools.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed test plans, procedures, and reports documenting test activities and results.
- Ensure that all documentation follows established standards and guidelines.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in integration and testing techniques.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment, with occasional travel to testing sites as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record for problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in ASME Y14 Drawing Standards Handbook
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or related industries.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Certification in relevant testing methodologies or tools.
- Experience and knowledge of manufacturing methods, specifically in composites, cables, metals and electronics.
- Experience with technical writing, specifically work instructions and process documentation.
- Experience with Power BI or data analytics
- Experience/certification in lean practices; 5S, six sigma, etc.
- Proficiency in CAD software commonly used in tooling (e.g., Creo, Windchill, etc.)
