Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated System/Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of both Windows and Linux system infrastructures. This role involves a blend of network management, consistent system patching, robust system hardening, and system/software deployment automation.
Essential Functions:
- Administer and support daily operations of Windows and Linux servers, ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability.
- Manage network configurations to optimize performance and ensure security compliance.
- Implement regular system updates and patches, minimizing vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
- Harden systems by configuring and maintaining security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools for deployment automation, striving for increased efficiency in our operational processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 4 years of experience as a System/Network Administrator managing an enterprise level domain.
- Current/active TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices.
- Two years of experience supporting LINUX (RedHat REL 7/8, Centos, Ubuntu).
- Experience with VMware or similar virtualization software.
- Experience with ansible.
- Experience with Commvault or similar backup system software.
- Experience managing systems under the NIST Risk Management Framework.
