Job Description:

 

As part of the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Segment, the SAS Digital Transformation team has embarked on a 5+ year journey to lead the implementation and support of the modernization of the key systems which drive our business execution on a day-to-day basis.  The SAS Digital Transformation team interfaces across multiple functions within the Segment.

 

There are three major systems within SAS experiencing transformation: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).  Within the SAS Digital Transformation team, there is a Finance team focused on ensuring the overall financial health of the program.  We are seeking a Senior Specialist who can perform a variety of program controls-based tasks.  These work tasks will encompass weekly review of actuals and support analysis, a monthly Program Management Review (PMR), supporting monthly forecasting, performance reporting, and various ad-hoc analyses.  This role will also support the periodic SAS Leadership Team gate reviews, operational (expense) and capital expenditures forecasting, and be the financial liaison among internal finance and accounting teams.  The role demands a keen eye for detail and being able to solve problems within a robust support structure as well as managing projects or processes that are both inside and outside of immediate job area.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Support the program finance activities associated with our Digital Transformation Systems Platforms (PLM, MES, ERP).
  • Complete cost reporting and forecasting, labor/non-labor forecasting, color of money recognition, and various financial analyses associated with these systems.
  • Lead the performance-based Earned Value reporting for PLM and MES to help maintain a rigorous environment to ensure the Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) analyses remain consistent and accurate.
  • Provide financial guidance to the Digital Transformation Finance Director and PMO for all Systems for financial activities including, but not limited to, audits, EAC’s, internal reporting, business case development, and vendor financial forecasting.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excel knowledge including but not limited to pivot tables, lookups, relational formulas, and query usage. 
  • Experience with Hyperion, Oracle PBCS, and Peoplesoft ERP & Queries. Power BI and SAP experience a plus.
  • Background in budgeting and/or forecasting analytics.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, team environment.
