Job Description:
As part of the Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Segment, the SAS Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team leads the administration of the Oracle Planning, Budgeting, and Cloud Services (PBCS) system. Referred to as the HypFcst tool, it is central to all financial forecasting and consolidation and is an integral part of the source of truth for the Segment when it comes to financial results and metrics.
Within the larger SAS FP&A systems team, there is a Finance team focused on ensuring the overall system performance, uptime, and training on execution within the tool. We seek a Senior Specialist who can perform a variety of system administrative based tasks also with a bias toward our Program Financial Analysts (PFAs) processes and procedures. This role will also support the SAS FP&A team in ensuring monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial deadlines are met. The role demands a keen eye for detail and being able to problem-solve within a robust support structure as well as manage projects or processes that are both inside and outside of immediate job area.
- Serve as the technical expert to Segment FP&A and provide monthly system status updates to support the various forecasting cycles. Manage user roles, access permissions and segregation of duties within the HypFcst tool.
- Schedule, monitor and review data loads through automation scripts between Hyperion/Oracle PBCS and source systems. Troubleshoot data validation issues and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate with corporate Finance and IT to design and implement enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Manage metadata, dimensions, hierarchies, business rules, forms and automation scripts.
- Lead system upgrades, migrations and new module implementations.
- Create user guides, documentation, and conduct training sessions on Hyperion/Oracle PBCS tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excel knowledge including but not limited to pivot tables, lookups, relational formulas, and query usage. Macro usage and development recommended.
- Experience with Hyperion, Oracle PBCS, and Peoplesoft & Queries. Power BI and SAP experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills (Oral, Written, Listening).
- Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, team environment.
