Job Description:
Visionary and results driven Chief Engineer of Digital Transformation who leads the strategic planning, implementation and optimization of our digital systems, with a focus on PLM (Windchill/Teamcenter), ERP(SAP/S4HANA) and MES (Solumina) solutions and integrations. This role drives collaboration, consistency and excellence across the three workstreams within Engineering as well as with close business and IT engagement. The role drives operational excellence, enhancing product lifecycle efficiencies and enables data driven decision making across the enterprise. The role involves steering digital initiatives across our segment, ensuring alignment to strategic goals, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital strategy, management, and organizational change.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, align, and flow down digital strategy and goals, ensuring cross-functional integration.
- Develop and maintain the segment's future state architecture, tools, and applications strategy.
- Oversee and manage the cadence and reporting for segment executive and steering committees.
- Coordinate cadence and activities across the segment's portfolio of digital initiatives.
- Oversee large scale digital transformation projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, scope management, stakeholder satisfaction and transition to operational support. Support change management efforts to drive user adoption and minimize business disruptions during transition
- Manage process and workflow changes, ensuring organizational engagement with leadership and stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across IT and business stakeholders
- Communicate business case, strategy and roadmap to stakeholders to ensure buy-in, including conveying changes, strategic shifts, and updates from leadership.
- Ensure effective communication of digital strategy and goals across the organization.
- Facilitate input, collaboration, and convergence with business segments and the IT function.
- Partner across IT, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance teams to understand needs and deliver scalable solutions
- Participate in supplier/partnership engagements and negotiations.
- Review and approve trade studies, architecture, and tool selections.
- Review and approve designs, requirements, specifications, and project plans to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Enable real-time visibility into operations and product development through integrated reporting tools
- Act as the voice of the customer to other enterprise functions on behalf of the Engineering organization.
- TS/SCI-eligible clearance or willingness and eligibility for clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 15 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Prior experience with Digital Transformation activities
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Supporting DoD & IC Government customers.
- Utilizing virtualization technologies and backup solutions.
- Managing and growing in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Working independently with little oversight
