Job Description:
Space Systems team seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes across the lifecycle of a program – from development through production and delivery. The QE will serve as the primary quality liaison for assigned programs, working directly with the operations team to drive compliance with customer, regulatory and internal requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Provide drawing reviews and test procedure reviews to ensure design modifications meet all quality and Customer requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action (RCCA/CAPA) using tools such as 8D, 5-why, Fishbone diagrams, trend analysis, Pareto analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action activities and Corrective Action Board meetings for Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) factory.
- Working knowledge in Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple functions supporting the production of high-complexity products to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support internal and external audits, including AS9100, program and customer audits.
- General understanding of manufacturing, materials, test and design engineering.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong experience with preparing and handling documentation.
- Understanding of quality control methods and processes.
- Strong experience of data evaluation, trend analysis, and presentation of actionable data to functional leadership
- Drive process and production excellence through a continuous improvement mindset, helping ensure quality, efficiency, and adaptability in a rapidly growing program environment.
- Currently hold / or ability to obtain a US security clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years prior related experience.
