Job Description:

L3Harris Corporation is seeking a Specialist, Integration & Test Engineer to support RF and modem test operations for a portfolio of Communication Systems programs in Brevard County, Florida. This role focuses on RF/IF testing (around 700 MHz IF), development and execution of formal test procedures, and support to Design Verification Test (DVT), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), and post‑check activities for modem-based systems. You will work across functional teams to ensure integrated hardware, software, and networked elements meet performance and reliability requirements critical to our warfighters’ missions.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, review, and update test plans, test procedures, test reports, and Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM) to ensure complete requirements coverage for modem and associated RF/IF hardware.
  • Author detailed ATP/DVT procedures for modem subsystems and systems, including pre‑ and post‑check activities, regression testing, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Configure and operate RF/IF test equipment including signal generators, noise sources, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, and multimeters to test IF at ~700 MHz and RF paths.
  • Perform integration and test of critical RF receive/transmit components, IF chains, and modem assemblies, including antennas, modems, frequency converters, LNAs, HPAs, waveguides, media converters, and network devices.
  • Configure and test Ethernet‑based interfaces, including switch configuration, VLANs, media taps, and UDP/TCP data flows between modems, servers, and networked devices.
  • Use MATLAB, Python, and/or Windows PowerShell to automate test execution, perform data capture, and conduct quantitative analysis of RF, IF, and network performance metrics.
  • Execute environmental, functional, and performance tests on electronic, electromechanical, and software-driven systems, documenting results and issues for resolution.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead test readiness reviews, test working groups, and technical discussions, providing recommendations for testability, producibility, and process improvements.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active US Secret security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with secure modem systems and/or COMSEC‑related hardware and configurations.
  • Prior SATCOM experience.
  • Experience with cable design, integration, and test (RF, IF, Ethernet, and control cabling).
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking / requirements / test management tools.
  • Experience with Wireshark to capture, inspect, and troubleshoot network traffic and system‑level connectivity issues.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification.
