The Broadband Communication Systems sector of L3Harris is seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Program Manager to support a large-scale missile defense program. In this critical role, you will oversee the supplier and material base throughout the entire program lifecycle, ensuring strategic management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of all suppliers and vendors. You will be responsible for managing risks, resolving potential supplier issues that could affect overall program success, and presenting status updates to program and business area leadership. Essential Functions
- Monitor and control project progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Manage supplier performance in the areas of technical scope, schedule, and cost.
- Manage program budgets, explain variances in monthly performance, and generate plans, payment forecasts, and variance reports.
- Develop and implement risk management plans, manage project changes, and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure L3Harris and Customer objectives are achieved, including on-time delivery, exceptional quality, and affordability.
- Lead the integration of the supplier program integrated master schedule (IMS) into the program IMS and track progress.
- The ability to travel to supplier facilities is approximately 25% (mainly domestic locations).
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Products.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience in Government Contracting/Subcontracting.
- Experience as Cost Account Manager for Subcontracts managing budgets and sales forecasting.
- Ability to navigate FAR/DFARS, ITAR, EAR regulations, and internal procedures for compliance.
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
