We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Business Intelligence Analyst to directly support the Vice President of Operations. This role will drive business analytics, operational reporting, and support the operating rhythm across multiple functions, turning data into actionable insights and recommendations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical problem solver who brings structure, clarity, and measurable impact to complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Lead analytics & reporting for Operations, Quality, EHS, and Facilities—design, develop, and maintain dashboards, KPI suites, and executive-ready materials (MBR/QBR, AOP/LRBP).
- Translate business results into meaningful metrics and data-driven recommendations to improve performance, cost, schedule adherence, quality yields, OTD, safety, and uptime.
- Drive the operating rhythm for the Sector Operations organization: agenda planning, action tracking, decision logs, and leadership readouts to ensure disciplined execution across functional teams.
- Analyze business processes (manufacturing, test, supplier, facilities services) and develop improvement recommendations using Lean/continuous improvement principles.
- Perform financial & performance analysis—support capital planning, spend tracking, headcount and labor analysis, charging practice compliance, performance-to-plan, and variance analysis.
- Lead special projects spanning org optimization, digital transformation, tooling automation (e.g., Power BI/SharePoint/Power Automate), and integrated data solutions.
- Shop floor engagement—collect and validate data at point-of-use (manufacturing cells, labs, hangars) and observe/document processes to support root cause and corrective actions.
- Occasional travel may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience; OR Graduate degree and minimum 4 years of related experience; OR In lieu of a degree, minimum 10 years of prior related experience.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis with demonstrated experience building metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to obtain a clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems and recommend creative, practical solutions across multiple functions.
- Strong communication skills; able to explain, interpret, and gain cooperation across functions and with external stakeholders as needed.
- Demonstrated experience managing ambiguous, fast-paced initiatives with general oversight and delivering measurable improvements.
- Broad knowledge of project/program management; experience in establishing management systems/operating rhythms and tracking actions to closure.
- Experience with Power BI/Tableau, advanced Excel (Power Query/Power Pivot), SQL, data modeling, and automation (Power Automate/Power Apps/SharePoint).
- Background in Operations, Quality (AS9100/ISO 9001), EHS (OSHA/EPA), Facilities or manufacturing environments; familiarity with Lean/CI methods.
- Experience supporting capital projects, facility planning, and logistics coordination (seating, lab/test area readiness, equipment moves).
- Exposure to ERP/MES/PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Costpoint, Teamcenter), and schedule tools (MS Project/Primavera).
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations and leading cross-functional working groups.
