Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Principal, Strategy Development for the Space and Airborne Systems Segment based in Palm Bay, FL.  This role will support the strategic planning process, conduct research and analysis, and provide competitive intelligence to help drive the strategic direction for the Segment.  This role reports to the Segment Director, Strategy Development and will be the primary interface to one or more business areas.

Essential Functions:

• Support development of the annual Strategic Plan
• Work in partnership with Sector leadership to define and articulate business strategies
• Size strategic business opportunities in nascent markets
• Lead and facilitate strategy meetings, planning sessions; support capture activities
• Effectively communicate complex technical and business information to executive leadership
• Provide market, portfolio, and strategy thought leadership in one or more business areas
• Analyze market intelligence and industry trends to provide competitive analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
• Strong technical knowledge or operational experience in airborne technologies (electronic warfare, radar, avionics, etc.)
• Strong communications skills
• Experience with military customers
• Understanding of DoD budgeting process
• Active Clearance - SECRET

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Prior experience in strategic planning
• Prior experience in competitive intelligence
• Experience developing executive level presentations
• Experience in business development and/or capture management
• Extensive experience with military customers and DoD budgets
• TS/SCI Clearance
• Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships in the industry
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to achieve individual goals and work with minimal oversight

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington, D.C. is $123,500 - $229,500 and in Rochester, NY is $107,500 - $199,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
