Job Description:

 

The Sr. Manager of Finance will report to the Maritime Sector Vice President of Finance and will serve as a strategic partner and CFO within the Maritime Sector Finance leadership team. This position will partner with the VP/General Manager of the newly established Enterprise Autonomous Solutions (EAS) Division and be responsible for driving strategic projects for advanced autonomy capabilities across air, land and sea domains. The Sr. Manager of Finance will hold P&L responsibility for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, Working Capital, and Free Cash Flow, and will provide financial planning and control services through a staff of Program Financial Analysts.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Bring financial and general management expertise to the division’s leadership team.
  • Establish and ensure compliance with financial policies, practices and procedures at the division and operating sites.
  • Drive sound business cases for increased investment in autonomous technology to enable long-term growth objectives.
  • Oversee Estimate of Completions (EACs) and profit impacts.
  • Drive implementation and adoption of Earned Value Management (EVMS) across the portfolio of programs.
  • Lead the business through the financial challenges of growth and position the business to capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Understand and analyze divisional financial performance as it relates to forecasted Orders, Sales, Operating Income and Free Cash Flow.
  • Ensure solid program and division financial performance through early identification of operational issues and implementation of containment methods.
  • Personally engage in establishing new business financial strategies and pricings.
  • Participate with the division VP/GM in preparing financial presentations for company executives.

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or closely related field and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Alternatively, Graduate Degree in Finance or closely related field with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities across multiple finance disciplines.
  • Decision analysis skills to include NPV, DCF, IRR, and other investment screening and evaluation models.
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Hyperion HFM/Planning and SAP ERP software.
  • Proven ability to interact and influence team members and peers at all organizational levels; ability to manage effectively both upward and downward.
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of government contract accounting, including quoting, progress payments, milestone and percent of completion billing and earned value management.
  • Prior experience with Federal Government contracting requirements - Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), Defense Acquisition Regulations (DAR), and International Transfer of Arms Regulations (ITAR) required.
  • Demonstrated deetailed understanding of ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
  • Demonstrated strong management skills including planning, organizing for results, managing projects, and both leading and evaluating people.
  • Demonstrated ability as a strategic thinker and experienced at developing plans for short and long-term results.
