Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role demands advanced analytical abilities, expertise in solving complex data problems, and the capability to develop sophisticated, high-profile production plans and schedules. The ideal candidate will leverage their academic industrial engineering skills to optimize our production processes and drive efficiency.

 

Essential Functions:

As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced production plans and schedules to meet organizational goals. You will analyze complex data sets to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in production processes. Utilizing industrial engineering principles, you will design and optimize workflows, layouts, and resource allocation. You will lead the development of predictive models to forecast production needs and capacity requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production plans with business objectives. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior engineers and production planners in best practices and advanced techniques, while staying current with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve production planning processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex data problems.
  • Proficiency in complex production planning and scheduling.
  • Expertise in using industrial engineering principles to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
  • Experience with predictive modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with application of Industrial Engineering principles to improve manufacturing systems including facilities planning, capacity planning, and production plan creation.
  • Candidate must have an analytical mindset and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience developing analytical tools and models is required (e.g. operations research, forecasting models, Python/SQL, throughput simulation software, Power BI).

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Industrial Engineering degree
  • Ability to obtain DoD Clearance preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity in Control/SAP or similar MRP based system
  • Advanced knowledge of production scheduling software and tools.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and advancements.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience working with a Manufacturing Execution System
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and/or Pro-E, technical writing, MS Project and/or MS SharePoint.
