Job Description:

L3Harris Corporation is seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer Scientist to join our dynamic team in Melbourne/Palm Bay, FL. Essential Functions:

• Comprehend RF functional and performance requirements and effectively decompose them for application to Phased Array Antennas and Modems designed for half-duplex communications.
• Facilitate and support working group meetings with the customer and the engineering team responsible for the flight-side radio.
• Collaborate with the L3Harris engineering team to analyze requirements, identify potential gaps, and propose solutions.
• Perform analysis of RF information to verify antenna performance against design specifications.
• Develop Verification Plans for RF-specific system-level requirements.
• Execute Verification of RF systems to ensure compliance with all technical and performance criteria.
• Work with technical team to identify, mitigate and close program risks.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in a technical information environment; interact, anticipate, and respond to customer needs.
• Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience
• Active security clearance
• Extensive experience in large ground system RF terminal development.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with RF systems verification
