Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Lead to oversee the engineering lifecycle of advanced systems and lead a multi-discipline team in Palm Bay, FL. As the Mission Assurance IPT Lead, you will ensure mission success through rigorous reliability engineering, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Functions:
- Lead Mission Assurance Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities and coordinate across engineering, quality, reliability, and safety disciplines
- Develop and implement mission assurance strategies to ensure system reliability, maintainability, and safety throughout the product lifecycle
- Manage product assurance requirements including parts selection, materials and process control, and workmanship standards
- Ensure that technical and mission assurance requirements are seamlessly integrated into program plans, specifications, and product drawings, and verify their proper implementation
- Develop technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, and ensure test conformance to specifications
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including Design Reviews
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
- Act as the Mission Assurance representative in key review boards as well as customer-facing working groups
- Understand and quantify risks, ensuring that Risk Management activities are executed and maintained according to established standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Engineering Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and visual)
- Proficiency with DOORS
