Job Description:
Plan, schedule, coordinate, and/or monitor final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Work from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure materials are provided according to schedules. Advise management of the status of work in progress, coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, and interface with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensure availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Work to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Essential Functions:
• Responsible for ensuring deliverables meet all performance requirements through manufacturing processes via production planning
• Determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in performing production planning using known procedures and processes
• Track assemblies, verify shelf life, and determine requirements of materials necessary to complete builds on schedule
• Must be able to do investigative work including looking through parts lists, inventory history, schedules, and drawings of assemblies
• May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes
• Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager/site leads
• Work in fast-paced, schedule driven environment without sacrificing product quality
• Successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Communicate clearly (written and verbal) with multiple programs and personnel
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience in inventory management and production planning
• Ability to work weekends and overtime if needed
• Basic computer skills – File/folder navigation, Microsoft Word/Excel
• Experience working in the aerospace industry on a production line for electronics or space reflectors
• Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Prior aerospace manufacturing knowledge
• MRP, PLM, Windchill, Power BI, Manufacturing Execution Systems knowledge
• Experience in leading small teams
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Able to spend considerable time standing, bending, and walking to and from other areas and buildings
