Job Description:

 

The Material Planning and Logistics Coordinator supports material flow, planning, and logistics activities to ensure products and components are available when needed. This role works closely with Material Management and cross-functional teams to manage priorities, resolve material issues, and support timely delivery to internal customers. The position requires independent judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Process material planning and inventory transactions in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system in accordance with company procedures and applicable contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Prioritize and manage assigned work to support material availability, delivery schedules, and changing operational needs.
  • Research and resolve supply, demand, shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare, review, and process shipping, receiving, and other material documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Generate purchase requisitions and coordinate with Logistics and Material Management to support order and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate delivery and movement of parts, products, and materials across campus and to end users.
  • Process material requests from Engineering and interface with internal and external customers to support issue resolution and customer needs.
  • Perform inventory adjustments, return-to-stock transactions, and related clerical duties requiring strong attention to detail.
  • Support team operations with a flexible, positive approach and perform physical material handling activities as required.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with MRP and Agile/PDM software tools
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
