Job Description: 

The Program Management Excellence (PMX) team within the Maritime Sector is looking to fill a Functional Lead role.  The successful candidate should be an experienced Program Manager and Operations Manager who is well-versed in People, Process, and Tools best practices within the Aerospace & Defense industry.  The successful candidate will serve as the enabler for Operations execution across all programs in the Sector.  The candidate must be able to lead cross-functionally with the other members of the Maritime PMX staff, operations functional partners and the sector’s IPTs to drive predictable program performance. 

Essential Functions:

·       Drive and support predictable performance across all sector programs for the Operations function

·       Manage Sector CAM training & certification for the Operations function

·       Partner with program, other IPT members with Operations function to support ensure executable baseline plan (cost and schedule)

·       Drive and support program baseline planning for the Operations function

·       Partner with program, IPT members with the Operations function to ensure operations IPT lead / CAM excellence

·       Serve as an IPT support member and advocate for Operations functional initiatives within sector programs

·       Assist and support the function for Gate and Independent Reviews for the sector

·       Drive program R&O management for the Operations function

·       Support the program, IPT and Operations function for preparation of various sector and division reviews

·       Emphasize Program Management & Operations policies and processes are applied within programs

·       Support continuous improvement projects

·       Coordinates and adjudicates PMX support priorities 
       ·       Ability to Travel at least 25%

Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience

• or post-graduate degree and 10 years of experience
• or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience

·       10+ years of prior experience in Aerospace & Defense program management, Operations management and EVMS

·       Prior experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L)

·     Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills: 

·       Demonstrated ability to present to executives/management on important topics

·       Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems and propose solutions

·       Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically-dispersed teams

·       Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

·       Prior experience managing direct reports

·       Prior experience providing instructional training to program team(s)

·       Ability to Travel – up to 50%

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, DC and Virginia (Greater D.C. area), Denver, or NYC areas is $153K-$284K.   The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $133K-$247K. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
