Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an influential and forward-thinking Lead HR Business Partner to play a critical role in supporting the people strategy for our Space & Mission Systems (SMS) Segment. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the department teams, driving HR initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and deliver impactful HR solutions across aligned functions. This position is ideal for a strategic, data-driven HR leader who enjoys solving complex organizational challenges while building strong relationships across the business.
Essential Functions:
• Act as the primary day-to-day HR contact for frontline employees in the segment functions, providing guidance on HR processes, policies, and standard practices
• Partner with leaders and HRBPs on routine performance management, employee development, and team dynamics
• Support the implementation of segment-level HR strategies and initiatives within assigned client groups, ensuring alignment with SMS and enterprise priorities
• Assist with requisition administration for aligned functions
• Assist with internal job changes, promotions, and transfers, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with HR/Comp guidelines
• Partner with Corporate HR, Segment HR COEs, and HR Operations to ensure consistent application of programs and processes
• Identify recurring themes or issues from the field and provide feedback to influence segment-level HR priorities
• Partner with leaders and HRBPs through complex employee relations matters, performance management, and sensitive organizational issues
• Oversee the monthly people data review process: monitoring trends and collaborating with other functional HRBPs on outcomes
• Perform data-related tasks including managing employee rosters and auditing within HR systems
• Lead and execute HR special projects and strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
• Experience with HRIS systems, talent management platforms, and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
