Job Description:  

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Essential Functions: 

  • Experience with cloud computing in PaaS VPCs
  • Strong background in system automation and IaC
  • Experience in migrating legacy application hosted in on-prem hardware to cloud hosted instances
  • Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot K8s and containerized microservices  
  • System configuration experience with Identity Access Management (IAM), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • System administrator experience in automating STIGs using configuration management tools with Linux-based operating systems
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices (Zero Trust, Least privilege)
  • Support critical operations during standard and occasional non-standard working hours
  • Works to provide architecture-level oversight for multiple projects.
  • Work with lead engineers to ensure engineering designs are sound and fit overall architectural concepts.
  • Implement/maintain defense-in-depth architectures to include physical and virtual environments.
  • Ensure project schedules are being met and identify any constraints/concerns.
  • Support/facilitate customer meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements & overall architectural design.
  • This position is on-site.

Qualifications: 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
    • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
    • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Secret clearance is required.  
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD 8140 certification appropriate for Privileged User access to IS within 3 months of start.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • DevSecOps experience managing CI/CD pipelines for SAST/SCA code scans and secure software builds (Coverity, Blackduck, Jenkins, GitLab)
  • IAC (ie. Terraform, Packer)
  • CM Automation (ie. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Experience deploying system security monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Cloudwatch)
  • Experience with requirements databases such as DOORS, issue tracking software such as Jira, knowledge management tools such as Confluence
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance or above is highly desired
