This position will be a 9/80 1st shift schedule (Monday Through Friday) with the occasional need for overtime support.
Essential Functions:
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of environmental test equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with the test equipment to minimize downtime and maintain peak performance.
- Modification and Upgrades: Implement modifications and upgrades to test equipment to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all test equipment and procedures comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, calibrations, and modifications for reference and future maintenance planning.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and team members to support testing operations and achieve project goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for maintenance improvements and the implementation of more efficient methods.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- A successful candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision. They will communicate effectively with contacts both inside and outside their team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. They will also identify and address underperforming equipment within their assigned job areas.
- Experience with Shakers and Amplifiers: Proficiency in working with dynamic shakers and amplifiers.
- Familiarity with Process Control Systems: Knowledge and experience with various process control systems.
- Experience with Nitrogen Refrigeration Systems: Skilled in working with nitrogen refrigeration systems.
- Basic Machinist Skills: Minimal machinist skills, including tasks such as removing broken bolts and replacing thread inserts.
- Cascade Refrigeration Systems: Able to work on cascade refrigeration systems.
