Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Operations Operator to support the manufacturing of electronic circuit cards. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in building mechanical assemblies, operating automated manufacturing equipment, and a solid understanding of mechanical and electronic integration processes.
Essential Functions:
• Assemble boxes and chassis for electronic circuit cards.
• Perform torque applications and mount mechanical parts to ensure sound assembly of electronic devices.
• Operate automated equipment designed to support the manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure all mechanical aspects meet stringent specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to streamline assembly procedures and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical assembly issues promptly to minimize production delays.
• Document and record all assembly and operational activities as required by company protocols.
Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance upon hire.
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Experience with soldering and working with delicate electronic components.
• Familiarity with manufacturing software and automated systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Focus orientated with high attention to detail.
• Experience with IPC 610 and J-STD-001 Class 3 standards.
• Good communication skills and good writing ability skills.
