Job Description:

 

L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and driven Director of Program Management to oversee a $60M portfolio focusing on mission system integration of subsea networks, telerobotics, communications, and autonomous underwater vehicle technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong program management skills, a growth mindset, strategic vision, and experience managing programs in high-complexity, highly dynamic environments. Additionally, a strong focus on customer relations and intimacy is essential. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge solutions and make a significant impact within the Maritime Systems business area of the Intel & Cyber sector.

 

Essential Functions:

 

• Collaborate with multiple internal and external customers to ensure program and business success
• Lead the Program Management Office (PMO) and functional teams in growing, capturing, and executing the Maritime Systems business area
• Responsible for ensuring the management of the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of the portfolio of programs through all phases from inception to completion
• Set strategy, guidance, and tactical actions for the growing business and customer base
• Report on and track strategic actions against plan
• Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
• Involved in defining program parameters or guiding internal research and development efforts in assigned field
• Work with customers to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities
• Solve highly complex problems with significant business impact
• Responsible for the overall development and management of the financial forecasts and strategic planning of the business area

 

Qualifications:

 

Must Have an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience

• Solid technical background with strong business acumen
• Demonstrated success in growing and capturing new business opportunities
• Ability to organize and coordinate customer visits

• Ability to work with other Program Managers, Business Development Managers, and Engineering / Support functions
• Ability to communicate in a thorough, clear, and timely manner which supports information sharing and goal achievement
• Proven experience developing broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals, even when having no direct authority over them
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
