Job Description:

 

 

The Program Management Excellence (PMX) team within the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) segment is looking to fill a Sector Lead role for the Maritime sector.  The successful candidate should be an experienced Program Manager, Proposal Manager or Scheduler who is well-versed in People, Process, and Tools best practices within the Aerospace & Defense industry.  This role will implement numerous Repeatable Program Excellence (RPX) improvement projects, and the successful candidate will also serve as the single point of functional program management issues for the Maritime sector president and their staff.  The candidate will work effectively with the other members of the IMS PMX staff, functional partners and the sector program teams.The candidate will play a pivotal role in the support on other corporate, segment and sector initiatives, such as LHX Next and MissionOne.

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Repeatable Program Excellence (RPX) implementation.
  • Support to Sector / Programs.
  • Performance Analysis / Reporting.
  • Travel up to 25%.
  • Program Leadership Team (PLT) Certification program.
  • Readiness for Program Management (RPM) rotational program.
  • Common Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS).
  • Common Data Matrix (CDM).
  • Cobra Standardization.
  • Risk Tracker.
  • Schedule Metrics Analysis & Reporting Tool (SMART).
  • Program Health Dashboard (PHD) & Automated Program Review Template (PRT).
  • Various sector, division, and proposal/program reviews.
  • Ensuring scheduling support to proposals/programs.
  • Enforcement of Program Management policy and process requirements.
  • Continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordination of training requirements and training instruction for program teams.
  • Coordination in support of internal and customer audits.
  • Coordination and adjudication of PMX support priorities.
  • Schedule performance analysis.
  • Earned value management and EAC metrics.
  • Training metrics.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
  • Prior program management, proposal management and EVMS experience.
  • Experience presenting to executives/management on important topics.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance 

 

 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.
  • Prior experience providing instructional training to program team(s).
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically disbursed teams.

 

 

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $180,500  - $335,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $157,000 - $ 291,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
